2018 366RLC Features and Options

This rear living Columbus Compass fifth wheel by Palomino will have you enjoying any destination that you decide on.  Model 366RLC features triple slides for added interior space, a convenient kitchen island, and an outdoor kitchen which allows you the choice to cook easily outside when the weather is nice!

 

Step inside and find a combined kitchen and living space with dual opposing slides to your immediate left. The curb side slides features a dining table with four chairs and a corner overhead cabinet, plus an entertainment center and the outdoor kitchen on the exterior here.  The slide opposite features your inside kitchen and a theatre seat for two with cup holders and a bit of storage overhead as well.  

 

The kitchen area begins with a counter-top along the interior wall straight inside the door.  There is a round single bowl sink, plenty of overhead storage, plus lower cupboard space as well.  The center island features ample counter space and a double sink in the middle for cleaning up and food prep, plus more.  In the slide along the road side you will find a refrigerator, a three burner range with overhead microwave oven, one walk-in pantry, and a second smaller pantry for all of your dry and canned food storage needs.  You will easily be able to whip up your camp favorite meals in this kitchen, either inside or out.

 

Along the rear wall there is an 80" tri-fold sofa with end tables and additional storage overhead.  A great spot to relax while enjoying the company of family and friends during the day.  At night you can easily convert the sofa into added sleeping space for two.

 

Back at the entry door head right up a couple of steps to a side aisle bath and front master bedroom.  Here you will find at the first door on your left a complete bath including a 60" x 30" walk-in shower with dome and seat, a toilet, and vanity sink with medicine cabinet.  There is also a small closet at the base of the stairs along the bathroom side.

 

A sliding door at the end of the hall leads into the master bedroom where you will find a slide out queen size, or optional king size bed, depending on your choice. There are nightstands on either side, plus a dresser off the foot of the bed along the curb side wall.  The front features a wardrobe with sliding doors and shoe box storage, plus a space prepped for a washer and dryer with removable shelf making it easy to add the appliances and the added convenience, plus so much more!

Palomino Camping Trailer construction began in 1968 with the dream of Mr. Vern Landey. Mr. Landey had been a tent trailer distributor for several years when he felt he could design and produce better quality units than were currently being offered to the public. He would design units which were lightweight and offered convenient floorplans at affordable prices. He began designing and producing Palomino pop-up tent trailers in a small building in Savage, Minnesota.

As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.

In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.

The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility.  In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.

In 2005, Forest River, Inc. and it's divisions were acquired by Berkshire Hathaway.  Palomino RV operates as a separate division of Forest River Inc., and has grown from humble beginnings in Minnesota to one of the top 5 RV manufacturing facilities in North America.
